- Description
- The Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia is our companion facility to the Museum on the National Mall in Washington, DC. The Center’s two huge hangars display thousands of aviation and space artifacts, including a Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a Concorde, and the Space Shuttle Discovery. An observation tower offers a 360-degree bird's-eye view of Washington Dulles International Airport and the surrounding area. The Udvar-Hazy Center is also home to the Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar where a glassed-in mezzanine allows you to see our current restoration projects in progress. The Center is just 10 minutes by bus from the Washington Dulles International Airport, and busses run every 20 minutes. Learn more about the Steven F.
