- Gustav Peter Bucky (1880-1963) was a German-American radiologist who, in 1913, developed a device that prevented scattered X-ray particles from reaching the X-ray film. An inscription on this example reads "Bucky Diaphragm / Liebel Flarsheim Co. / Cincinnati, Ohio / Serial No. LF-3026."
