- Landscape study of a mostly cloudy, wintery landscape at sunset. In distance, purple mountains are partly illuminated in orange by the sinking sun. Above, frenetic clouds of purple, grey, and cream allow blue sky to peak through along upper margin. A wooded hill (potentially Blue Hill) is featured in foreground at right.
