- Description
- Landscape study showing view of a red, hazy sunset over the Hudson River and Valley. In foreground, river bank descends from left to right and hosts several trees. In middle distance, river reflects the warm light of the sun. Beyond, the opposite shore and the Catskill Escarpment are visible. Above, the sky is rendered in purple-grey and the red light of the sun struggles to pierce this hazy veil, possibly caused by a wildfire or low-lying clouds.
