A valuable old painting by Francisco Albani, one of the old masters, represents the loves of Venus, who is seated by a fountain or basin, surrounded by cupids, wreaths of flowers, &c.; dark foliage forms the background. This painting is over two hundred years old, and is still in fine preservation. [P. 62.]
