- WOODEN FIGURE WITH HIEROGLYPHICS (INLAID) ARMS CROSSED, HEAD DRESS PAINTED BLACK, NOSE BROKEN. PROVENIENCE UNDOCUMENTED. IDENTIFICATION PROVIDED BY HMSG.
- Extremely well carved with a very detailed 2-zone wig, and the inscription inlaid in the wood with a lighter colored material. The figure originally had a beard which is now missing, and has seed packets on its back carved in raised relief. Inscribed for one "sin-wed-nu" a priest of offerings, agent of the temple of Amon, and High priest of Ptah. [Name in later notes given as Sen-ked] Dynasty XVIII - XIX.
- From NMNH Exhibit Hall "Eternal Life in Ancient Egypt" label for this artifact, 2011: Shabti, 1292-1190 BC. Shabti wears wig and jewelry like living people. As a worker in the afterlife, it holds a hoe.
