- "By Albano, born 1578, died 1660. " History tells us that Albano chose his subjects mostly from poetic or fabulous history, in which he excelled. Sir Robert Strange says, that we may be almost sure of finding in any picture of this master beautiful figures of women and children, who seem as if they had been nourished by the graces." [P. 9.]
