- This sheet annotated as isotype by V. Finot (2002). Also annotated (unsigned, undated, on post-it note), "Possible isotype or topotype--but no proof!" However no type definitely indicated in protologue; several sheets of original material that have variously been considered as types are in the type herbarium and several more sheets of original material remain filed in the main herbarium. Protologue, "This must include what I published in Wheeler's Report, Vol. VI., as T. alpestre, Beaur." [sic., orig. "Beauv."]... Vasey cited in Wheeler's report (1878, 6: 294), "Twin Lakes, Colorado, 1873 (1174)."
