- Botanical sketch of the trunk of what is likely a palm tree in Jamaica. Visible from its base, the tree is cut off midway up. Surface of the trunk is marked by lateral gray and brown bands. Behind the tree in the middle distance, a dirt road stretches across the composition. A loosely rendered backdrop of trees and other greenery serves as the background.
