- Octagonal engraved brass disc on three feet; in center, sunk compass. On one side hinged, scrolled frame for missing pendulums. On other side, a hinged graded circle segment for setting latitudes. On third side, hinged ring with hours, and cross bar with needle. B) Octagonal case covered with brown leather and lined with blue silk. Disc with engraved named and latitudes of important cities inside cover.
