- Description
- The Kenton Hardware Company of Kenton, Ohio produced this cast-iron toy car in 1929. The blue sedan-style car has a red stripe across the side. Kenton was one of the major manufacturers of cast iron toys, and auto-related toys were one of their big sellers. Originally called the Kenton Lock Manufacturing Co., this Ohio firm made its first cast iron toy (a bank) in 1893. Kenton began making toy cars in 1903.
