Object Details
- Description
- Tea ceremony water jar (mizusashi) indented sides; irregular mouth, flat base. Black lacquer cover.
- Clay: hard, lightweight stoneware; grayish-brown with brown surface.
- Glaze: high-fired iron; dark greenish-brown dripping to base over thin brown glaze wash; patches of opaque, whitish glaze on one side.
