The blade appears to have a Chinese mark on it and therefore may have been made there, but the carved wood pommel was probably carved elsewhere, ? in Borneo, (Refer to Cat. No. 361,670, whch has the same pommel though not the same blade. - R. Elder 9/29/70 Loaned to Textile Museum. 5/3/71 Returned to the Dept. of Anthropology."
