- Description
- What is a monsoon mood? Golden lightning ripples across the sky as a king and his companions inspect their realm’s extensive waterways during a storm. The day is hot, the clouds thick. Rain cools their skin, the emerald hills are lush, the sluices are working, and Udaipur prospers. Immerse yourself in the rainy season, through an ambient soundscape created by Amit Dutta exclusively for this exhibition. A Splendid Land: Paintings from Royal Udaipur will be on view at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art from November 19, 2022 through May 14, 2023.
