- Horizontal sketch showing twelve sailing boats and, inverted at bottom of sheet, one rowboat. Three sketches of sails; the one at bottom left is inscribed twice with the word "Shal." The vessel drawn in the upper right corner appears against the ruin of Tynemouth Priory in the background.
