- Description
- A reproduction of a French wallpaper printed by Zuber. An oval plaque containing a pastoral scene of a dainty barefoot shepherdess carrying her staff over one shoulder with a basket of flowers suspended from the end. Two lambs are at her feet and a garden wall is at the right. The frame of plaque has an ornate design and is suspended from lavish floral sprays and festooned cords and tassels together with swags of ribbons. All arranged in a drop repeat. The field has an asymmetrical design of flowers in pale mustard gold on a deeper shade. All other portions printed in grisaille. Printed in selvedge: "A.L. Diament, Phila., N.Y." In style of 1820-30.
