- From NMNH Exhibit Hall "Eternal Life in Ancient Egypt" label for this artifact, 2011: Shabti, 1298-525 BC. Notice the royal cobra at the blue shabti's brow. Made for Queen Henuttauy, the figure probably came from the tomb where her mummy was found. Artisans crafted shabtis from many different materials, including faience, wood, clay, and even wax.
