Rocket, Flying Model, Hall Line
Object Details
- Summary
- This is a flying rocket model called the Hall Line. It is not known whether it was flown or not. The model is made of wood and plastic. A solid propellant rocket motor propels the model. A parachute is deployed at the end of flight which gently brings the model back to Earth. It is then retrieved and can be reused. The model was probably built by G. Harry Stine during the late 1950s or 1960s. He was one of the American pioneers in the field of flying rocket and missile models and donated the model to the museum in 1973.
