- Summary
- "This early fresco of Ghirlando is one of the most beautiful things you ever saw and marvelous color. It is one of our latest great crushes. Have bicycled down here from Florence over hills like those in Piero della Francesco. We ride tomorrow to Arezzo to see works of the latter. God, what marvelous pictures and architecture in Italy!! We will be in Paris in a week. Cloudless skies warm springlike when, if ever do we rate a letter? R."
