Summary
A quarryman stands holding a shovel horizontally with both hands, the handle in the proper left hand. He has a moustache and wears a wide-brimmed hat and cuffed overalls, including an open-collared shirt with sleeves rolled to the elbow. His proper left leg is bent and elevated, placed on the staggered, boulder-like base with a plaque on the front. Four more big blocks of sandstone are grouped around the base Figure sits in a twenty foot diameter circle of crushed stone.
