- Description
- Proposed facade design for San Giovanni, Laterano, in Rome, Italy. The narthex has seven entrances. Above central door is a blank papal escutcheon. At center, a cupola upon a high drum, with arches in front and at sides, if flanked by two half cupolas. On the back wall is a relief of Christ's Ascension, with statues of Christ and Mary in the side niches. The section is drawn in a right angle to the elevation and plan.
