- Description
- Elevation and plan of a large scale horizontal structure, an elaborate fountain. The upper portion of the drawing depicts the elevation. The large central archway (exedra) is embraced on either side by a colonnade (with Ionic capitals) and smaller archways (exedrae). Sculptural decorations are positioned above all three exedrae. The water pours from the arched openings in the dados of the colonnades and the lateral exedrae. An outline of distant hill behind the elevation.
- The plan is located below the elevation (lower portion of the sheet). The left portion of the plan is rendered with pen and ink while the right portion is sketched with pencil.
