Object Details
- Abstract
- The 14 black-and-white photographs document Edmund Heller's field work during the American Museum of Natural History China Expedition, 1916-1917. There are descriptions on the reverse side of images. Prints are of individuals and groups of Asian peoples (Shan, Mosso [Naxi]), including candid images of adults and children, a Chinese bride, and child on a water buffalo. Locations include Yun Nan [Yunnan], Meng-ting [Mengdingjie ], and Li-chaing, China. Photographs are credited to American Museum of Natural History, New York. Duplicate prints must be obtained from that museum.
