Philippart, suplement 4, Revue de l'Universite de Bruxelles, 1928, p. 34. Beazley, Attic Red Figure Vase Painters, p. 521 No. 4 attributes it to the Akestorides (?) Painter. (see his "Vases in Poland", p. 36 note 3). Exhibit, Hall 26, 1976." From 1978 NMNH slide set captions: "Kylix - ceramic, painted, red figure; standing male, the "long jump" from athletic games; seated musicians; Attic Greek, Italy, 480 B.C., attributed to Akestorides painter."
