Postal Inspection Service credentials
Object Details
- Description
- Postal inspectors always carry credentials identifying them as members of the nation’s oldest federal law enforcement agency. As early as 1884, Inspection Service credentials included the postal inspector’s photograph; this travel commission does not include a photograph as it predates that era and predates the title "postal inspector," but refers to the employee as a "Special Agent."
