- Plate 30, X of the book, Très Admirable Bestiaire Fantastique (Very Admirable Fantastic Bestiary). At lower center, a human skull and parts of a skeleton, including a rib cage and other bones, lie in a sandy landscape. The top of the skull is open, the edges flared out as though something has escaped from inside. Above, a large spider with a human brain as its body dangles from a thread. It casts threads of spiderweb onto the bones below. Landscape indicated by a curving shaded line in the background. Composition contained within a black rectangular frame.
