- Description
- One of a pair of tea caddies, each a vertical rectangular form on small angular feet, with straight shoulder and cylindrical neck to fit cylindrical cover. Side panels of body are repoussé in 18th century style with fishing figures, birds, scrolls, urns, and cartouche. Cylindrical cover with birds and scrolls. Engraved elements on each caddy nearly identical, differing slightly in scale and composition within panels. Caddy panel with cartouche has angular foot bridge and small group of houses at bottom, houses at upper center, and floral scrolls at upper right.
