- Description
- On July 19, 2019, SAAM presented a symposium featuring scholars, artists, and curators discussing the importance and legacy of the 1969 studio craft exhibition, "OBJECTS: USA." This groundbreaking exhibition featured more than 500 artworks by 308 American craftspeople. Fifty years later, we look at the impact it had at the time and how it still resonates today. Participants include Glenn Adamson, Tanya AguiƱiga, Sarah Archer, Janet Koplos, Paul Smith, and Rosanne Somerson. This program is part of an occasional series at SAAM titled A Closer Look. Support for the series comes from the Thelma and Melvin Lenkin Education Endowment.
