- Description
- Oval medallion in classic design. Allegorical figures are pictured. Two female figures, one with a long spear, are standing before statuary. Swags of flowers are festooned from bottom of oval. Classic urns are between ovals and swags of delicate Adam husks connect them. This paper is a reproduction of the one in the living room of the House of Seven Gables in Salem, Massachusetts. This design has all the characteristics of late 18th century Adam period. Written on reverse: "8748 H Nathaniel Hawthorne".
