- This is a model of unknown scale of the Rapier, a mobile British surface-to-air missile designed to provide low level air defense. It has a solid-fuel motor, a conventional warhead, a maximum speed of over Mach 2, a range of up to 5 miles, and a ceiling of approximately 10,000 feet. First deployed in 1971, the Rapier is still in service today.
