- Description
- This instrument has a round wooden base with three feet. The base contains a 16-pointed compass rose, pin, compass needle and a cap for the needle, under a glass cover. It serves as a pedestal for a 26-faced polyhedron which is made of wood covered with paper. Sundial scales are indicated on all but the bottom face and one face adjacent to the bottom. In addition to the scales, the sundial faces are decorated with signs of the zodiac and other motifs.
- The face adjacent to the bottom without a scale is marked: Eleuatio (/) poli Arctici (/) Graau (/) xxxxIIII.
