- The fifth in a series of six cloths (catalog numbers E436265-E436270) showing the steps in the manufacture of mud cloth (bogolanfini). The cloth is made of eight strips each approximately 5 inches wide, whip stitched together. One surface has been decorated with a linear geometric design using a dark purple-brown, fine-grained mud apparently applied with a brush. The cloth has been washed after two coats of mud were applied.
