- This is a model of uknown scale of the Honest John, a U.S. Army surface-to-surface missile based on mobile launchers. It had a maximum range of 23 miles, and carried a conventional, chemical or nuclear warhead. First deployed by the Army in Western Europe in the late 1950s, it was withdrawn from service in the 1970s. Honest Johns with conventional warheads were also exported to NATO allies, South Korea, and Taiwan. Douglas Aircraft made and donated this model to NASM in 1958.
