- This a training version of the Minuteman III intercontinental-range ballistic missile, deployed since 1970 by the U.S. Air Force. A three-stage, solid-fuel missile, Minuteman IIIs until recently carried up to three independently targeted Mk 12A nuclear warheads a maximum distance of 13,000 km (8,000 miles). They now carry a single nuclear warhead pursuant to arms control agreements between the United States and Russia. Made by Boeing, this missile was donated by the U.S. Air Force.
