- Description
- Landscape study showing a view of a ruinous rectangular tower in a dry, barren mountain valley in Syria. Foreground consists of brown and green grass and shrubs. In middle distance at center, the remains of a tower are shown with ruined walls or structures nearby. At left, an indistinct herd of animals grazes. In the background at left and center, two other towers are visible in front of a sharp, rugged mountain range that stretches across the horizon. Above, light, wispy clouds hang in a twilight sky.
