- Medic Alert bracelet belonging to Kaitlin Marie who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 2.
- After his daughter Linda suffered a near-fatal allergic reaction, Marion Collins thought about a medical alert system. Dr. Collins and his wife Chrissie created the first MedicAlert ID bracelet soon thereafter. The MedicAlert Foundation is incorporated as a non-profit foundation in Turlock, CA., in 1956.
