- Award-winning musician Martha Redbone provided this spirited performance in conjunction with the museum's "WalkingStick Weekend," celebrating the work of artist Kay WalkingStick. Martha brings her Native American, African American, and Appalachian sensibilities to play in the music she chooses to share, including some soulful renditions of poems by William Blake. Explaining how the churches she grew up in incorporated call and response in the services, she enjoins the audience to sing along. This performance was webcast and recorded in the Potomac Atrium of the National Museum of the American Indian on August 6, 2016.
