- Description
- Covered from head to toe is this well-dressed woman facing the viewer but looking downward sheepishly. Combs fill her hair, which signals her high ranked status as a courtesan. Each of her kimono layers is decorated with various floral motifs. The pink and green variations highlight the autumn maple leaves, which decorate the lower half of her garment. Above her is a window into a cold winter scene. The city and mountain peaks are covered with snow. Circumventing the figure contains various groupings of calligraphy.
