- Description
- Landscape sketch showing a view of dense woods in Maine. In the immediate foreground, moss-covered soil ascends into the middle distance and hosts a large, broken tree trunk at left. At right, the moss also grows over an immense boulder, atop which two other trees grow. In the background, several other tree trunks are visible among dense greenery. The light green ground is visible along the lower margin.
