- Owney received this token from the clerks in the Denver, Colorado post office on August 13, 1894. About 50 clerks worked in the post office during the days of Owney’s visits to the city. Among the railway lines that Owney may have ridden into the city were the Kansas Pacific and the Denver Pacific railroads.
