- This is a metal launch pad for launching flying rocket models. The triangular shaped piece of metal at the top is for deflecting the hot exhaust of the motors.
- It was probably made by G. Harry Stine, an American pioneer in the field of flying rocket models. He donated it to the Museum in 1973.
