- Collected in 1895 from the Kluks family by Daniel Berry Austin (1863-1956, a Standard Oil employee who collected many kinds of items); given by Daniel Austin to amateur naturalist Roy Latham (1881-1979) at an unknown date; donated by Roy Latham to the New York State Archaeological Association Museum (the Southold Indian Museum, Southold, New York), possibly in 1969; acquired by MAI in 1974 through an exchange with the New York State Archaeological Association Museum.
