Object Details
- Alternate Title
- National diary, 1948
- Abstract
- This diary includes Killip's accounts of his life and daily activities in Central America and South America (Including Bolivia, Argentina, Colombia, and Panama) in 1948. The diary includes daily entries that describe Killip's day-to-day life, his work with Herbarium of the Instituto (possibly in Colombia), and his travels. Some notes are long and narrative and describe observations that Killip made, and mention collecting activities. Localities include Uyuni (Bolivia); Tucumán (Argentina); Cali (Colombia); and Barro Colorado (Panama). A rough sketch of Ochoto Bay, Panama can be found in the notes. The front of the field book includes a list of addresses, presumably of professional colleagues in other South American institutions. The list is organized by country and includes Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and Colombia.
