- Botanical sketch of a bird of paradise plant among jungle undergrowth. Long, broad, green leaves with horizontal striations are simultaneously bathed in light and obscured in shadow, nearly blending with the dark background. Leaves and tendrils of nearby foliage are visible around margins.
