- Dark blue flying coat; white rank insignia on sleeves; dark brown shearling lining; zipper down front; zipper cuffs; 2 lower slash pockets with snap closures; three white embroidered on black felt Feldwebel (sergeant) rank insignia sewn on both arms.
- Summary
- This is an example of the flying jacket from the Luftwaffe two piece electrically heated "Kanal" suit. They became standard issue for pilots and aircrews sometime in 1943.
