- An inscription on this cardboard box reads “Renwal / Products Inc. / Human Skeleton / Assembly Kit / Anatomically Accurate.”
- Isidor Irving Rosenbloom (1903-1992)—born in New York City, died in Great Neck, in Nassau County, and related to the Popeil family (of Pocket Fisherman fame)—displayed a glass knife at the New York World’s Fair of 1939, and established Renwal Products, Inc. that same year. That firm began offering plastic toys shortly after World War II. By 1951 it had established a new factory in Toyland Park, in Mineola (on Long Island), and was trading as Renwal Manufacturing Co.
