- Diary written by both Helen Torr Dove and Arthur Dove. Helen writes all the entries from Jan. 1 to Aug. 13, then Arthur takes over from Aug. 14 to Nov. 10, then they alternate, often both making notes on the same day. They describe social engagements, chores, their health, letters received, weather, which paintings they are working on.
The entries written by Arthur are frequently accompanied by sketches of a circle outlined in ink, and filled in with colored pencil. - Citation
