- Description
- Lewis Waterman established the Waterman Pen Co. and received his first pen related patent in 1884. Early Waterman pens had barrels and caps of hard rubber. In the 1940s, the firm introduced pens made of Forticel, a plastic produced by the Celanese Corporation of America. This example is of that type.
