- From card: "Iron pieces made of strap metal used about charcoal fires by the people of the table lands. Apaches of Arizona use wooden one like this." Culture for this object is listed as Chichimicas or Apaches on the catalogue card. Tag on the artifact says Chichimeca or Aztec. Per H.N.A.I., Vol. 10, p. 387, Chichimeca is a problematic term which has been used by the Spanish as a generic label for the unsettled peoples of northern Mexico and the southwest.
