- A hardback copy of The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin. The book has a paper cover with clear plastic cover over top of the book. The paper cover is black with red and orange type. The front of the paper cover reads: [The Fire / Next / Time] in red and [James / Baldwin] in orange, centered but aligned to the left. The back of the paper cover is entirely taken up by a black-and-white picture of James Baldwin. The picture is a close-up of Baldwin, who has his hands crossed in front of him and is wearing a jacket. The hardback book itself is white with red type. The interior pages, one hundred and twenty-three in total, front and back included, are off-white paper with black type, and no images. One of the interior pages has a stamp that reads: [John R. McElderry].
